CEP 812: Applying educational Technologies to issues of practice

CEP 812 is the third and final course in the Educational Technology Certificate Program sequence. This course focuses on how educators can use a wide range of technologies to address issues within their classroom and the education system. Students of this class explore well-structured, ill-structured, wicked problems and educational problems. Additionally students will read educational theories on human social and cognitive dispositions.
All of these course assignments are conducted with the guidance of a Personal Learning Network (PLN) which is crafted throughout the course. Students collaborate with colleagues, classmates, educators, and the world in order to further their learning experience.

CEP 812: Wicked Problems Project -
The Wicked Problems Project asks students to take a major problem they see within their classroom, education system, etc. and try and solve it using educational technologies. Through this project the learner is required to apply both educational theories and technological skills to problem solving.

CEP 812: Personal Portfolio -
Throughout CEP 810, 811. 812 students are required to keep an updated blog of their learning experience. The Personal Portfolio includes blog posts, assignments, educational tools, resources for educational technology. This blog serves two purposes; a reflective tool to track learning and growth, and a storage facility to document all of work completed.
